A well-rounded morning routine sets the tone for the day and gets you mentally and physically prepared especially during these tough times. Rituals, especially in the morning, are so important for your well-being and will help you to take a moment to truly have the me-time you need before jumping into your packed schedule. 

The Xperience

Xperience 1: Introduction to Ayurveda and Implementing Its Practices: Oil Pulling

The class will start with an explanation about Ayurveda as an important part of holistic healing. You'll also be introduced to oil pulling, an ancient Ayurvedic dental technique that involves swishing a tablespoon of oil in your mouth on an empty stomach for around 20 minutes. This technique will supposedly draw out toxins in your body, primarily to improve oral health but also to improve your overall health. You are welcome to come to the session with materials or to simply just watch the technique .

Xperience 2: Mindfulness Meditation

A 10-minute guided meditation using a sound bath to prepare our mind and body to start the day. Being still will allow us to slow down, be present, and relax our nervous systems, allowing it to find healthy ways to self-regulate. During this session, you should be at a comfortable spot where you can sit comfortably. 

Xperience 3: Nutrition Talk

You will learn about what cooking a Healthy Bowl really means: Why Texture Matters! This workshop will involve raiding your fridge and or pantry, so be prepared to make your own healthy meals with whatever ingredients you have.

We hope that by the end of this experience you will feel more relaxed and connected to the beauty, simplicity and uniqueness of yourself, nature, and the people around you.

About the Host

I'm a healing food nutritionist and holistic health coach. I specialize in plant-based diet and raw food snacks/desserts. I believe that eating healthy and mindfully should not be a struggle; it should be easy, fun, and keep you satisfied.

Aside from counseling clients one-on-one on a regular basis, I also run Greenery, a healthy food place, enhanced through a close collaboration between chefs and nutritionists to make delicious, sustainable, and healthy food in Jakarta. 

I've been promoting a health-conscious lifestyle since 2011, and have worked at one of the most prestigious hospitals in New York where I was trusted to be the Head Nutritionist. I graduated and earned a Nutritionist degree in NYC, and then I also continued my love for the nutrition world by getting my holistic health coach certification from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.

I'm currently in my lodge in Puncak where my parents and I reside. While in quarantine I have turned my parents’ previously unused patio into my ritual space where I watch sunrises and sunsets, burn palo santo, drink tea, give myself a Gua Sha facial, do yoga, meditate, write and or read books. And twice a week I treat myself to some digital entertainment and watch my favorite series.

Kathy provides insightful learning during the session and she shares good recommendations as to what types of oil we can safely use on a daily basis. At the end of the session, she shared her secret recipe for a healthy breakfast. Overall, love the session so far

This online experience is beyond my expectation! Signing up to the class, I thought it would be a hippie type of class but I was interested to learn about healthy life and improve my quality of living. I was apparently not not correct! Out of all three sessions, I enjoyed the meditation session best! It was super relaxing and Kathy's voice was so soothing. And, I did not know that starting a healthy living is so simple!

This is probably one of the most unique classes/workshops that I have ever joined. I was skeptical at first because personally I am not into this nutritional healthy lifestyle. And when I saw that meditation was one part of the session - I hesitated. But my mind was changed after I joined this class. The meditation was definitely my favorite part. I can actually feel all my body connect and react to the peace - which I really needed. Kathy was an awesome host. She is super friendly and smiley and she makes different new concepts very easy to understand.
